Why can people on food stamps buy decorated cakes from the bakery?
I work in a store and people on food stamps come in and buy all kinds of ridiculous things. For instance a guy came in tonight and bought a superbowl decorated cookie cake from the bakery and a kid came in and bought a case of energy drinks. These are not necessities. Why are these allowed and who sets the rules on what they can buy?
You definitely don't set the rules. You don't need to judge them for what they purchase. They are unfortunate enough to be poor, and now you think they shouldn't be "allowed" to endulge in a cake once in a while? Alot of people on food stamps work real darmn hard to support their children, and still can't make enough money, therefore needing some food assistance. Who cares what the buy with it? I think you're selfish and rude. Mind your own business.
