USCG Joining with Family, Pet, and Afloat questions?
Is it hard to move with 2 80lbs. dogs? What are the chances of me being sent to a cutter directly out of boot camp if I want to be a Yeoman or Marine Science Technician? I am a married mother of one joining the Coast Guard in January. Thank you for your responses!
Depending on where you get stationed it could be a serious problem with the dogs. If you go overseas or to Hawaii you might not be able to bring the pooches. After boot camp you will go to school and from your school you will get stationed on a ship or shore. It is usually the luck of the draw so you want to be top of your class to get the best drawing position.
