how do they produce chopsticks?
Was having sushi last nite and the question came up - how do they do the chopsticks where the two sticks are connected at the top? Seems like it's one piece of wood, not pulp that's molded, but I don't know.
They carve a plank of wood into a shape of the pair of chopsticks. They make a slight cut on 2/3's of the chopstick and leave a whole,uncut thin, part of the chopstick where it would be easy enough for us to break apart and use...
