Are there any unique weddings venues in or around Southeast Michigan?
I am planning on having a brunch or lunch reception for my wedding with a vintage + food theme and really want a venue that would let me show that off. In my mind that means either something with a lot of natural light (aka windows galore), or at least something a bit more interesting that allows me to go with some offsite options. I am pretty tired of all the hotel packages that are cookie cutter and push all of their food, etc on you for a ridiculous price.
I know there's some pretty cool stuff in and around downtown Detroit so if anyone has recommendations for the things worth checking out, that'd be great, but any suggestions or ideas for anything in the vicinity would be great, especially if anyone knows of more non-traditional spaces.
Try The Inn at St Johns. It's in Plymouth, MI, and, while they do all the food for you and all that good stuff, the location is GORGEOUS. there is a church there, a hotel, a reception hall, and a golf course, so you can get some fantastic pictures, and your guests dont have to go far for the reception. My family (not me) have been to a wedding here and my mom (who was born and raised in Italy and is extremely picky about food) was RAVING about the food and the services there.
